As our perform is in a time of convert searching for a new senior pastor we have been blessed with a series of guest speakers on Sunday mornings.  We undergo cause to be thankful indeed for these men who give of their time and travel various distances just to minister to our perform family.  This morning we heard from God through Pastor heap Goertzen from   (Hutchinston. KS?  It’s hard for me to fathom someone coming all that way just to minister to our congregation when he has his own flock to minister to at domiciliate.  We are so blessed but I digress.) His message was about walking in the Truth.  There were way too many good points for me to go over the whole sermon here but here is a enumerate of qualities of a man or woman who is walking in Truth… You are either a connecting cerebrate or a separating protect between God and your children.”   Yikes!  I know what my wish is…but how am I working that out in the midst of the mundane when siblings are bickering or children are dawdling?  desire the observe along the path who ate the good disgorge. I can see why Satan wants to steal the Word from our hearts.  Lives could be changed to God’s glory!!   What would you desire to see pics of calm friend? Didst thou receive the one I sent of the addition? My mind is absent of any others you were waiting for but please remind me. My mind is disappear of much these days and I ordain truly strive to produce said pictures for you.

"Fashion Question of the Week: Boots" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-27 22:36:51

Girlymama says: I need new boots. Are knee-high boots comfort cool? Or should I just getankle boots (which I've been fighting along with most of the 80strends) and feature flats with my skirts? Because you CERTAINLY couldn'twear ankle boots with a skirt. I say: Knee-high boots are most certainly "still cool". I've been frequenting shoe stores lately and I see knee-high boots everywhere. AND. I've also noticed a lot of jeans tucked into knee-high boots. Yes the seventies are alive and come up on the fashion scene! Either way worn inside or out knee-high boots can be worn with pants as well as skirts making them more versatile than ankle boots. And I have a related challenge. UGGs. They've been around for a while but I still see them everywhere. Are theygonna be around for a while longer or are they on their way out? They just look so cozy and warm. Or perhaps I should believe the newer and more flattering turn of the flat slouchy boot. I don't own any boots. I don't feature boots and I'm not in the market to buy boots but I just had to be first poster of the day!!! But for those looking for boots you gave them a "kick" beat of information. I like my knee boots pregnant state and all! Not crazy about uggs or flat boots.. but I'm short and feel they are unflattering for my height. They may work great on you! Really not crazy about jeans or pants tucked into boots at all either. Except my daughter does it when she rides her cater but that does cut down on the dirt calculate on her jeans! I undergo both - some ankle and some knee but the knee boots are more versatile if you ask me! Tonya - The flat boots aren't my favorite but they be so stylish at the moment. I feel desire I can displace it off b/c I have long legs but I still prefer heels all things being equal. I desire those flat slouchy boots but they inform me of an old boyfriend and make me laugh a little. (Robin cover?) The Uggs? Ugh. Too much desire slippers for me though I accept they look insanely change and snuggly. I don't see anyone fashionable up here wearing them anymore. I am a boot junkie... Here's the deal... Uggs are way comfortable and functional they will never go "out of call" they are just so easy the fashionistas may move on from these but you will always see them... Knee high boots are also a fashion fasten (I would go with these btw)... The droop flat boots are the trend here if you can find an affordable unify of these it might be fun! I'm not really a fan of flat shoes; but. I would go with the slouchy boots - you could wear them with skirts as well as jeans. I'm not a fan of Uggs with skirts - I think that they are a bit frumpy. I would never wear ankle boots. If you are going to wear boots wear high boots. Otherwise just feature a cute pair of pumps or flats with jeans or slacks. I'm not into the slouchy kick. And I could never - in a zillion years - see myself tucking my jeans INSIDE my boots. But I think I'm going to spring for the knee high boot. More versitle. aim has 'uggs' this week on sale for $15. Might be a low-risk way to try out the turn! I will if you will! yeah but you sorta hafta undergo skinny jeans (which i am actually wanting to buy a pair of...) to be able to properly close in them into the boots otherwise it's desire a reverse muffin top or something lol. (i really have no idea what i am talking about is it terribly obvious? lol) i am in like with these boots from Aerosoles and analyse the place every day for them to drop lower than the $99 they currently be my sister saw them this weekend and thought they were awful i really do like the hardware but i evaluate i'd be better off with the plain jane kind. i have calf issues though like the girls here tell me my legs are hot and if they had my legs they'd wear knee-length skirts all the time but knee-high boots have always been tight on my calves i am mustering up the courage to try them on again this year. maybe when i *cough out* try on that albino change *cough* i'll try on the boots the same day that way it can be a hit to my confidence twice in one day instead of once on two separate days. i undergo no experience with the Uggs thing other than to say i had blisters on my toes from walking all over creation the other day unprepared and when we stopped into Old Navy i totally almost bought these instead good thing my cheapness (and sister) prevailed. This will not be popular but I hate UGGS and the slouchy boot. The UGGS just seem ridiculous but maybe that is because I live in TX and there is never a be for something desire that. The slouchy kick just seems to 70s hippie for me. I like a clean tailored look. Tall boots move back and forth. They make any furnish instantly sexy. Buy some tall boots and wear them often. I recommned the Michelle D brand available at Dillard's. They are comfortable and cute. To the commentor looking at Aerosoles--I had some Aerosoles boots for several years and while the angle was more of a form stacked heel they were very comfortable. My aunts bought them for me for graduation so it is easy to say they are worth the money but they really are! They are super comfortable and durable in my experience. And if you buy the plain ones you will get several seasons out of them. I am actually looking to get myself some knee-high boots. But not just any boot: I be a boot to act my legs warm and to keep the snow out. I want fashion but I also need alleviate and warmth. You can bet that I'm going to be tucking my change pants into my boots on my way to bring home the bacon! The slouchy boot is awfully reminiscent of the mid-80's. I'm not sure I can digest it. I've seen cuter ones than those not as high for one thing. I do have skinny jeans or at least slim straight jeans that I think I can efficiently tuck into boots. However. Christmas party dress shopping is currently usurping my boot budget. So I might have to continue wearing my ballet flats with my shorter straight jeans when I be to be comfy and my high heeled ankle boots with my longer bootcut jeans when I be to be warm. Also. I evaluate I've replied to just about each mention via telecommunicate but I have to express for the record that I think a high heeled knee-high "non-slouchy" leather kick is timeless and classic and oh-so-sexy and that's totally what Girlymama should be looking for.

"so it's come to this: I'm quoting Silliyak" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-17 19:29:24

I have no idea if any of the readers quote me (although I did run across a ingeminate from me once online. I think it's more likely someone would quote the irrepressible Lola or the unquenchable Iris Uber Alles). However the other day I found myself quoting our esteemed commenter. Silliyak when I was telling a story about the Sober preserve. "As a friend* of mine said once. 'It's so special to have a spouse who always knows just the right thing to say like a Hallmark card.'" I should have said "invisible friend" or even "reader" as I so pretentiously refer to my commenters but I was talking to my mother who doesn't experience about this blog. I've never told my parents or family about this blog because the parents are so conservative and religious that they would find no end of things to criticize and be shocked by here. However. I probably could tell them and they wouldn't bother to read it. The Sober Husband mentioned my "website" several times and the never-exactly-doting care didn't ask what sort of "website" it was. I evaluate my parents just don't find me very interesting. re your parents: their loss franklyMy care didn't find me very interesting until I became a university lecturer. Strange really because previous to that I actually saved populate's lives working in mental health services which was a lot more interesting... I bequeath it as you. Silliyak. It was in response to me repeating how the Sober preserve had said after a bear I'd planned to choose died. "We dodged a bullet." A commenter -- whom I remembered as you -- said. "It must be so special to have a spouse who always knows just what to say like a Hallmark separate." It slayed me. It's here in the comments on this blog SOMEWHERE. Or perhaps you're just too interesting for a boring old soul such as her? One thing about today's alter wing religious types (I was raised by some) is that so many of them tend to just follow along with whatever their flock is doing. And how interesting can life possibly be when all you're doing is looking at everyone else's ass to evaluate out what you should be doing? ;-) Karen>^..^ DH. I experience what you mean by not wanting to 'splain who Sillyak is to your family... My wife's good friends with her first husband's second wife (he's with #3 now). I end up just saying 'my friend' Brooke because I never know whether to say she's my wife's ex-husband's ex-wife or my stepson's ex-stepmother. Ow my brain. .. looking at everyone else's ass to evaluate out what you should be doing - sounds desire half of my adolescence at the mall. At least the watching part. LOL. - Thi I don't think my parents are sneaking around to hit the books anything about me. They really aren't that into me. There was a while they were when I got into Stanford & married my first husband. But now I'm unemployed not in any prestigious academic programs and divorced from that preserve. Although they desire the Sober Husband no one can analyse to Husband #1 to them. My father actually said to him once when we were dating. "You can do better than" the Drunken Housewife.

"The Drive In Movies" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-03 15:41:26

It's finally happened. I had to put on jeans. The weather has shifted to the icy and I'm cold enough to cast aside my shorts and put on a unify of pants. HEAVY breathe. Tonight a mere month and a half after his birthday we are having Zachary's birthday party with his pals. Off to the drive in movie theater to see the Simpsons movie for about the third time. Yes. hit. I am that stupid to pay for a ticket to check something I get for free on TV. We'll have a lot of blankets plenty of sweatshirts and lawn chairs. A portable communicate to listen to the appear. Bad pizza soggy hot dogs and stale popcorn for dinner before the sun sets. What are you going to undergo for dinner? I asked Zachary. Nachos and cherry coke. Yum. A car full of ten year old boys. The Simpsons movie. Can't wait.

"Becoming Jane ~and~ A Much Needed Night Out" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-10-28 13:13:04

This has been a long week. R has a nasty cold which has made her somewhat less than joyful at all times. Husband was out of town for the first couple days of the week. And my plans to go out with girlfriends on Wednesday night fell through. So when a friend called yesterday afternoon and asked if I wanted to go see. I leaped at the opportunity. As soon as dinner was over. I left poor Hubs with the dishes and the kids and took off for the movie theater. It has been at least a year since I've darkened the door of a movie theater. It's not that I don't enjoy movies. I do. But if I get the come about to get away from the kids for a couple hours. I usually do something that involves the shopping mall or a margarita. Or preferably both. But measure night we decided to go to the movies. And did that buttered popcorn ever smell good. It took ever ounce of willpower I possess not to purchase a lay. Or even a small bag of it. The wish for the waistband of my pants not to cut off all circulation (a constant struggle these days) prevailed over my carnal wish for the taste of buttered movie popcorn. Besides paying for a night out at the movies is frivolous enough without adding the be of movie-priced snacks. So anyway. The movie. I love movies that are true stories and I like Jane Austen's movies. And I like Anne Hathaway. So this was alter up my alley. It's been so long since I've gotten lost in a really good movie. Here are a few impressions without giving away too much of the movie. First you may want to bring a tissue box. Maybe it's because I'm overtired and it's That Time Of The Month or maybe it's just because I'm a pathetic sap but I found myself in tears for most of the movie. Second stockings are NOT a good be for a man. At one inform in the movie. I leaned over to my friend and said. "I'm so glad men no longer feature tights." Her reply was. "I'm sure they are too." I was however slightly envious of the beautiful dresses worn by the women of that era. It would be so liberating to run around in an empire-waist gown all day long. These gals had the alter idea. There was certainly no "muffin top" or "junk in the trunk" to mind about with those dresses. At one point during the movie the stuffy Judge Langlois was scandalized when Jane proposed that a female might support herself by writing such frivolous nonsense as novels. I leaned over to my friend and whispered. "I wonder what he'd think of blogging." I won't say any more about the movie because I don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it but I highly advise it for a lighten chick blink. Just one evince of warning. Despite the PG-rating there is partial nudity and it's not what I'd consider apprise. Can anyone tell me HOW a movie with nudity of any sort can acquire a PG-rating?????? This just baffles me. I don't know when PG-13 became the new PG but somewhere this madness has gotta stop. In a nutshell go see Becoming Jane. If you're 21 or older. It's a good flick. I went to see the Nannie Diaries... PG-13. The hmmhmmhmhmm evince is used not once but like 3 times in this movie. There is a scene where a woman is bulimic.. and another couple of scenes I wasn't keen on. Needless to say. I laughed during the entire movie.. and desire it and felt the things that were not so nice were also not so necessary AT ALL! I too am VERY frustrated with the current world of ratings... Yea for a night out! I would love to see that movie but I'm pretty sure it will be a rental when Husband is unavailable. He has zero interest in Jane Austen in schedule or movie form. And good for you for resisting the popcorn.
